Subtypes

Each of the sixteen types comes in four subtypes. The subtype shows what a type puts its strengths toward. Two axes set the four apart.

Axes

Challenging

Treats a limit as something to test. Acts on its own will and meets resistance head on.

Deferring

Treats a limit as something to respect. Adjusts to the situation and to others, and moves with care.

Opening

Lets things in. Takes in the new without first fitting it to a plan, keeps structure light and meets people on a level.

Securing

Holds things in place. Keeps structure, continuity and control, and protects what it already has.
