Personal Boundary

Every particular gets through, and each one asks for an answer. The inner state never quite settles, which makes them the first to feel where something in a group is off and the quickest to want it fixed.

A well-kept inner space from which the details of the world are followed calmly. Outside direction is accepted without friction, and attention holds steady for long stretches. Shared work gains patience and exactness from them.

The boundary is open in both directions. What is one's own is shared with those close, particulars are not held against anyone, and direction is taken up without friction. They are the open hand of a community.

A firm boundary keeps the world at a dignified distance. Whatever does not belong, physical or social, is sensed early and kept out, and demands without reasons are declined. The standards a group easily lets slip are held in them.
