Social Allegiance

Everyone is met as an equal, openly and on present terms. Trust is extended first, dominance holds no appeal, and possessions and positions are held loosely. They connect a society across its ranks by dealing with anyone on the same footing.

Loyalty goes first to a long course of one's own. The crowd's mood and others' approval do not decide the way, and self-development outranks remaking the world. A society draws its self-made individuals from here.

Each group keeps its own place, rules and boundary. The proven is respected, the foreign is kept outside, and tomorrow is left to itself. They preserve what makes each community distinct.

The self belongs to family, lineage and a cause larger than any one life. Obligations are honored across the years and care flows down to the weaker members. A people holds together over time through them, and they will give the most for it.
